Why It Is Written Down
An Independent Roster Only Means Something If You Can Check It
Plenty of fitting studios describe themselves as independent. Fewer publish what they stock, and fewer still explain why a particular line earned its space on a shelf that has a finite amount of room on it.
Our test for adding a line is simple. It has to solve a problem that the lines already here cannot solve as well, and it has to be available in enough specifications that a bench card can actually be filled with it. A head family that only comes in three lofts and one lie is a retail product, not a fitting component, and it does not go on the wall no matter how well it sells.
Lines get dropped too. When a manufacturer discontinues the specification range that made a model useful here, we stop stocking it even if the name still carries weight with golfers.
What we will not do
- Accept co-op marketing money in exchange for shelf space
- Hold stock on consignment, which quietly biases a recommendation
- Run brand demo days where one manufacturer sets the test
- Mark components above distributor list price
- Recommend a head we cannot get in the lie and loft the card calls for
The last one costs us sales. It also means a card never specifies something we cannot actually deliver.
Heads
Nine Families, Chosen For Specification Range
Why these nine
Each of these families publishes a genuine specification matrix — multiple lofts, multiple lies, real shaft options rather than a stock choice and an upcharge list. That is the practical difference between a component and a product.
Two of them are here specifically for progression range. When a golfer's address picture needs a leading edge further back than one family offers, another one covers it, and the session does not end in a compromise.
What is deliberately absent
Direct-to-consumer brands that only sell assembled clubs are not stocked, because we cannot build to a card with them. That is not a judgement on the products — several are very good — it is a statement about what a bench can do with them.
If you already own one and want it rebuilt to a proper spec, bring it. Reshafting and rebalancing an existing head is ordinary bench work.
Shafts
Sixty-Odd Models, Sorted By Profile Rather Than Brand
The rack is organised by bend profile and weight, not alphabetically by manufacturer, because that is the order a fitting actually works in.

Anything not on this list can usually be ordered in for a fitting within a week. If a card calls for a model we do not hold, we say so and order it rather than steering the recommendation toward what happens to be on the rack.
Grips
Five Lines, Every Core Size
Grips get treated as an afterthought almost everywhere. They are the only part of the club a golfer actually touches, and installed diameter changes hand action more directly than most head properties do.
We stock five families across every core size and both standard and midsize outer diameters, plus the full range of build-up tape. Installed diameter is measured after fitting rather than assumed from the label, because tape layers change it substantially and nobody counts them consistently.

Build-up tape is logged on the card layer by layer. That is the only way a regrip two seasons from now feels the same as the one you were fitted with.
